Mark Twain Quote

I heard a new awesome quote in my Student Ministry Essentials class...

"At age 14 I couldn't believe how ignorant my father was. At age 21, after seven years had passed, I couldn't believe how much my father had learned in such a short period of time."

Convince Me That There Is No God!

I've been going over and over in my mind how foolish it is that people can actually believe there is no God. I just can't comprehend the logic behind it. I think of the complexity of say..... an iPod. How in the world do you fit 160 GB of music and video into a device that is 2.4" wide, 4.1" tall and .53" thick?! You wanna know how?! First you spend MILLIONS of dollars on engineers and developers and designers who each one of them have spent years and years and thousands of thousands of dollars going to school to learn how to do their skill and you get all of them together and get them to spend years and years working together and working long hours coming up with brilliant ideas to make this tiny device called and iPod.

So here's my next question. How many years would it take and what are the chances that an iPod that is 2.4" wide, 4.1" tall and .53" thick and holds 160 GB of music and video would ever come into existence on it's own without any human intelligence or interference?

What if we gave it as much time as you wanted to? Say a million years for it to happen. No, a billion! What are the chances? What are they?

Zilch. Nada. Not gonna happen. Ever! No matter how much time you gave it. You could take an unassembled ipod, put in whatever you wanted, then give it a billion years just to put itself together and you know that it would never would happen.

Such a creative and amazing design of an iPod cannot happen with out teams of people, years of work, and tons of money. And we're just talking about an iPod here.

If an iPod takes that much design and creativity and engineering... tell me then... what you see in this image... do you think it took some form of design from some form of a designer?

Give the picture a click. Take a closer look at it.

Those disks aren't single stars. They are galaxies. Galaxies that comprise of millions of solar systems and hold millions and millions of stars.

"Get off of me silly iPod! You aint got nothing on me!" says this picture. An iPod pales... PALES in comparison to the complexity of the objects in this image. They're not even worth comparing. They're really not.

And remind me again what it took to create an iPod...

Convince Me That There Is No God! I dare you!...

For you will only reveal your own ignorance and foolishness.

"1 Praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD from the heavens,
praise him in the heights above.

2 Praise him, all his angels,
praise him, all his heavenly hosts.

3 Praise him, sun and moon,
praise him, all you shining stars.

4 Praise him, you highest heavens
and you waters above the skies.

5 Let them praise the name of the LORD,
for he commanded and they were created.

6 He set them in place for ever and ever;
he gave a decree that will never pass away.

7 Praise the LORD from the earth,
you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,

8 lightning and hail, snow and clouds,
stormy winds that do his bidding,

9 you mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedars,

10 wild animals and all cattle,
small creatures and flying birds,

11 kings of the earth and all nations,
you princes and all rulers on earth,

12 young men and maidens,
old men and children.

13 Let them praise the name of the LORD,
for his name alone is exalted;
his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.

14 He has raised up for his people a horn,
the praise of all his saints,
of Israel, the people close to his heart.
Praise the LORD."

How It Should Have Ended... Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

This video was created by a friend of mine, Daniel, who works at fellowship church with me. He works for the group of people that create our children's curriculum called Elevate. Obviously he's and amazing animator. He has tons of these videos at HowItShouldHaveEnded.com. This is my favorite one...
