2007 Correspondents Dinner

I was going to post President Bush's monologue from this week's Correspondents Dinner but its not that great....

Click here if you'd like to watch it.

Instead I wanted to put up last years which is by far the funniest ever! Bush's impersonator is playing the part of Bush's thoughts in his head.

Disclaimer

"What's up with the disclaimer to the right?"

As per instructed by my Fellowship Church Employee handbook I've added the following disclaimer just so everyone knows that this is a personal blog and not a blog that really has anything to do with Fellowship Church. :)

"I work at Fellowship Church. Everything here, however, is my personal opinion and is not read or approved before it is posted. Opinions, conclusions and other information expressed here do not necessarily reflect the views of Fellowship Church."

New Job

Since my shift in "how" I was going to approach seminary changed about a month ago (click here to read that post), I started looking for a full-time ministry position. I've been interviewing for about a month now with Fellowship Church at their Grapevine campus.

Well today I officially started. The position is their 2nd and 3rd Grade Assistant Children's Pastor position. My main responsibilities are helping teach and lead on the weekends, preperation for the weekend during the week, and supporting our 2nd and 3rd grade pastor in whatever he needs me to do.

I've not talked a lot about it b/c I wanted to land the job first. This is a huge answer to prayer so I do want it to be clear that props go to God for hooking me up with the op to work at an amazing church with some amazing people there, both staff and volunteers. I know my time at fellowship will give me TONS of positive experience and exposure into children's ministry, team work, creativity, and lots more. I'm stoked to say the least.

I still covet your prayers as I attempt to finish this semester (I'm half way through and rocking and rolling) and offer as much as possible in my new position.

Heads Up

Daylight Savings Time is this Sunday, March 11th. Set your clocks up one hour before you go to bed Saturday night.

The Lost Tomb of Jesus

I watched the Discovery Channel Docudrama, "The Lost Tomb of Jesus" this past Sunday evening. Click here to read about this docudrama from their official website.

I asked my Old Testament professor, Dr. Mitchell about it this morning, and he said he laughed at it. He then sent me to this article which he said, "destroys" the docudrama. The author of this article is not a Christian so know that before you read it.

Humbled

Ummm, I'm humbled again. I got another email from my school telling me to go by the cashier's office and pick up 2 checks from anonymous donors. I don't know if these anonymous donors read my blog or not, but in the chance that they do, I just wanted to say thank you. I can't begin to tell you how much your giving helps and is needed. You are an answer to prayer!

So... Thanks You! Very Much!

Actually...

(continued from comments on pervious post, click here)

Actually it is 2 bags with a total of 4 to-go boxes, haha. Us poor, lonely, hungry seminary students need all the help we can get, haha. All of those to-go boxes only lasted until the next day too. I eat like a horse!
